Born in London and raised in Newcastle, singer-songwriter Anna Ross has spent the last decade as Duran Duran’s backing vocalist, singing to tens of thousands of people in sold-out arena tours around the world.
Ross grew up in a musical household and after leaving school, performed around Newcastle at local gigs until her band was signed by the head of Chrysalis records aged 19. After the band split she relocated to London and worked as a backing vocalist for artists including Lisa Stansfield, Stereophonics, Tom Jones, Beverley Knight, Sting and Tina Turner, before joining Duran Duran’s touring party and most recently adding Jamiroquai to her touring roster.
In 2016 she released her debut album, ‘First Day’ co-writing 3 tracks with Duran’s Simon Le Bon. Her second album recorded live in Chamonix saw her exploring soul/jazz influences. Ross delivers her vocals with a compelling emotional and soulful integrity that has been engaging audiences around the world since the beginning of her career.
When she’s not touring or working on her own albums she loves vocal coaching and has also recently begun helping other independent artists write and produce their albums.
